Emma Katz is a social entrepreneur, creative producer and operations professional with 10 years of experience scaling small businesses.
Emma’s recent projects include the podcast Pandemic Sexuality, which explores the connections between the HIV/AIDS epidemic and the COVID-19 pandemic. She has worked with the COVID-19 Technology Task Force’s “Connect and Protect” program to promote the use of exposure notification apps. She is an owner and former COO of Hazel Village, an organic toy company based in Brooklyn.
Prior to joining Hazel Village, Emma worked in the arts, fundraising and streamlining operations for non-profits and creative businesses. She was named one of ArtInfo’s 30 Under 30 Influential Arts Professionals for her work as the co-founder of Recession Art, an arts organization that connected aspiring art collectors with affordable art from emerging artists.
In addition to her professional pursuits, she is a leader in the Queens chapter of Hand-in-Hand, a network of domestic employers which advocates for fair treatment for nannies, house cleaners, and home care workers.
