My specialty is working with start-up creative businesses and productions in their first years of activity. I set up development programs and administrative systems from the bottom up so that the founders can focus on the mission of their business, not on the administrative details. For artists, I help see ambitious projects through from the idea to the execution.

My experience includes:

Producing and fundraising for New Amsterdam Presents and their upcoming contemporary opera about Robert Moses and Jane Jacobs. My responsibilities include contract negotiation, planning the fundraising gala, VIP and donor relations, and outreach to international presenters.

Initiating a development program at Trestle Gallery including researching grant opportunities, applying for foundation/corporate/government funding, beginning a patron program with a working patron database CRM system, recruiting active board members, and planning an annual benefit.

Incorporating and securing 501c3 non-profit status for the indie theater festival FRIGID New York, including writing a successful grant for NYSCA funding.

Artist Services including proposal and artist statement editing, social media, and fundraising through Kickstarter, grants, and individual donations. Recent projects include Ian Trask’s Blister Pact at the Invisible Dog Art Center in winter 2015 and Ingrid Ludt‘s exhibition at chashama in spring 2015.

Bookkeeping and human resources for start-up toy company Hazel Village using Quickbooks Online and Zenpayroll.

Budgeting using The Cultural Data Project, a budget tracking system required for many government grants.

Collections Management for private art collectors, including taking an inventory of artwork, photo documentation, and web development.
