My name is Emma Katz and I am an arts entrepreneur, consultant, and producer. I am a graduate of Harvard University, where I spent much of my time as a board member of the Harvard-Radcliffe Gilbert & Sullivan Players. I served as the founding Development Director for the fringe festival, FRIGID New York from 2008-2012. In 2009 I founded the affordable art gallery Recession Art and was named one of ArtInfo’s 30 Under 30 Influential Arts Professionals for my work there. Today my clients include Trestle Gallery, Hazel Village Toy Company, New Amsterdam Presents, and more.

My specialty is working with start-up creative businesses in their first years of activity. I set up development programs and administrative systems from the bottom up so that the founders can focus on the mission of their business, not on the administrative details. For artists, I help see ambitious projects through from the idea to the execution.
